What are the functions of carrier roller of the komatsu excavator & dozers?

The carrier roller is located above the X-frame, and its function is to maintain the linear movement of the chain rail. If the bracket sprocket is damaged, the caterpillar chain rail can not keep the straight line.

Top roller is a one-time injection of lubricant, if oil leakage can only be replaced, in the work should try to avoid the heavy wheel immersed in mud for a long time, usually to keep the X frame slope platform clean, do not let soil and gravel accumulation too much hinder the rotation of bracket sprocket.
